He has served as Royal College representative on AACs (appointment advisory committees) for consultant appointments.

He was a member of the poster judging panel for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Annual Congress 2008 & UKISCRS Annual Congress 2008.

He has advised NICE (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) on the safety and efficacy of Implantation of multifocal (non-accommodative) intraocular lenses during cataract surgery (682) as one of the professional advisers appointed through UKISCRS.

He is ‘country delegate’ for EVRS, representing UK retinal surgeons on this European body.
