I prefer medical records to be supplied prior to the agreed appointment. Indeed as I do not have a waiting list, I prefer not to send appointments to clients until I am in possession of a full set of records. The records should be high quality photocopies and indexed so that it is clear which records are from which source (hospital records, GP records etc.) If the records include clinical photographs or corneal topography plots, then I expect to receive colour copies.
If a client fails to arrive for an agreed appointment, then I reserve the right to charge the instructing solicitor a fee. I will not normally charge this if a client gives me reasonable notice that they are unable to attend a previously agreed appointment. I usually spend time prior to the appointment in reviewing the medical records. In the case of a missed appointment this time will be charged at my normal rate.
If you have any queries please contact my secretary on 01516047193 or by email.
