Your Appointment

If you want to have a private consulation you can make a direct appointment. However, please note that it is usually advisable to get a letter of referral from your general practitioner.

It maybe best to consult your optometrist (optician) first, as your blurred vision may simply indicate a need for a change of spectacles, and he or she is best placed to deal with this. If significant eye condition requiring specialist care were found, your optician will refer you to an eye specalist directly or your general practitioner, who would then refer you to an eye specialist.

I am usually available at Spire Murrayield Hospital, Wirral on

  • Tuesday evening - 6 PM to 8:30 PM
  • Thursday afernoon - 2 PM to 5 PM
  • Select Saturday mornings

You can ring the appointments line directly on 0151 9295181

If you want a private appointment urgently please telephone my secretary on 0151 6047193, she will be happy to make the arrangements for an urgent consultation. This can be at Spire Murrayfield Hospital or Arrowe Park Hospital.

Eye drops to dilate your pupils are usually part of your eye examination, this leaves your vision blurred for a few hours. It is therefore not advisable to drive yourself to your appointment.
